Antibody Sequence Analysis

The Antibody Sequence Analysis Pipeline (ASAP) is our flexible system of tools for analyzing and clustering sequences of candidate antibodies produced by high-throughput screening, cloning and sequencing. This toolkit offers functionality similar to the tools developed by VBASE2 and IMGT, but with a specific focus on the needs of researchers trying to isolate and characterize antibody sequences. Datasets of germline sequences for human, mouse and rabbit, derived by Craic from the original sequence records, are used to characterize sets of raw sequence reads that you generate from your screening work. Our software clusters closely related sequences, taking into account sequencing ambiguities, and delivers sets of candidate sequences. By deriving our own reference datasets and building our own tools from scratch, we are not dependent on licensing any of the academic data or tools.
Craic has worked on antibody sequence analysis with a number of companies and that experience led us to design and build the toolkit. We realize that every client application is slightly different and so we offer consulting services, alongside the core ASAP tools and data, so that we can deliver a solution that meets your precise needs. Features of the toolkit include:
There are many ways in which antibody sequences are screened and/or designed. The tools are equally applicable to PCR amplification products from B cells as they are to sequences derived from phage display. The modularity of the software makes building custom pipelines for specific projects very cost effective. The customized software can be installed on your server or hosted by us.
