Craic is developing a database of DNA, RNA and Protein sequences derived from Issued Patents and Published Patent Applications from the major world patent offices. This data set will be combined with a sophisticated user interface to create a resource for searching and retrieving biotechnology patents relevant to your research interests.

This product will be hosted on secure, remote servers using best-in-class web application technologies to provide the most flexible and effective solution to patent sequence searching.

The service is called SQIP as it combines Sequences and Intellectual Property. We pronounce SQIP as 'skip'.
